Muncie Alliance Church

Missions

While there are limited resources to carry out the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20 ), there are unlimited gifted people within the Body of Christ through whom God can display His glory. Additionally, studying Ephesians 4:11-12 we see that the members of the Body of Christ accomplish this particular ministry—not the equippers. The equippers are to facilitate the preparation of the members so they in turn can be Christ’s ministers to the world.

The leaders here at Muncie Alliance Church desire to create a space to come alongside and equip those within the Body—the laity—that have been stirred to walk in the good works that the Lord has already prepared for them (Ephesians 2:10 ).

Currently, MAC has both domestic and international initiatives that the Lord has placed upon the hearts of some within our community. All are in the beginning stages as the teams are seeking the Lord in prayer and waiting on His leading as to how these stirrings might come into fruition. Is the Lord speaking to your heart about any of these opportunities?

Ireland

We are praying for God to provide a way for this team to have a credible presence in Ireland. Perhaps this could entail some property or a space to start a business for the team to minister bi-vocationally, to provide a service within the country, or to create employment opportunities for nationals.

Mark & Ange Guinn, team leaders and past interns, spent three months in Ireland at the Mullertown Camp & Conference Center seeking the Lord’s leading and networking with believing nationals. You can view a record of their trip on their blog.

The rest of the team continues to prepare state-side. If you are called to serve the Lord in Ireland, please contact Eric Hedin, MAC's Ireland team-building leader.

Spain

Brett Tippey is currently heading up and gathering a team to head to Spain as early as the Fall of 2006. He spent extensive time in Spain as he completed his master's degree in architecture.

The team is praying for a credible presence in Spain and God’s direction regarding whether the team will find employment in Spain and minister bi-vocationally or be financially supported, full-time missionaries. If you are called to serve the Lord in Spain, please contact Brett for more information.

Thailand

Three interns—Jonathon Fox, C. C. Thompson, and Kaleb Jordan—recently completed a short-term mission trip to Thailand to make connections with the nationals and seek the Lord’s further leading in this initiative.

The hope is to begin a coffee plantation that would have a direct connection to Alliance World Coffees and other coffee roasting companies, providing a market to relieve this economically depressed region and people group. Through this business, they expect to establish a presence and working relationship within the country where indigenous churches could be established, and the nationals could minister to unreached people groups.

The approximate date to send a team for this initiative could be as early as the Fall of 2006. If the Lord is calling you to serve in Thailand, please contact Jonathan through the church office at (765) 282-6119 for more information.
