Movement of Alliance Communities

Muncie Alliance Church desires to be a church that lives up to the Great Commission—a church that makes disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that Jesus commanded and reminding His children that He is always with them (Matthew 28:19-20). This means we must be outwardly focused on those who have not heard the Gospel, place a heavy emphasis on training up young and old in the faith, and raise up and send out leaders who will also have an outward focus, thereby continuing the cycle and creating more churches who value the Great Commission.  This portrays a church, a community of believers, who is on the move—that neither stagnates nor simply continues to grow within itself until it gains “mega-church” status.

As God raises up leaders within His Body, we at MAC choose to mentor and give these emerging leaders opportunites to lead through teaching pool, the training internship, and Wednesday night teaching time. Once these young leaders have proven themselves in the small things, we launch them into positions of leadership without severing their ties to the MAC community

In addition to leaders, we ask those within our own MAC community to be a part of launching new communities of believers.  We challenge graduating students to consider looking for jobs near future launches or church sites.  We challenge families who live and work in Muncie to consider moving as a team with others who are called to plant or start a new church.  With each new plant the MAC community feels the sometimes painful effects both numerically and financially, but as we recouperate and the new churches experience God’s blessing, all parties involved experience God’s goodness in new ways that wouldn’t have existed if we had selfishly contained our growth—and the leaders it raises up—to one church building.

The following are the bodies of believers that have been birthed at MAC. Each site has its own unique personality and are currently connected to MAC in varying degrees.
