Five Little Words
Jesus desires to reconcile all people to himself
This is MAC’s desire as well. These 5 little words are helping us fulfill Jesus’ desire in Delaware County, on the Ball State Campus and even to the ends of the world.
As a body of Christ, we will intentionally be…
GROWING in intimacy with Christ
Intimacy with God begins with a reconciliation of man to God. We were created to live in relationship, in community, with God. This relationship, started through confession and repentance, grows as we develop the spiritual disciplines in our life by which the believer daily overcomes sin and fosters the love and intimacy that God desires.
LIVING out the Fruit of the Spirit in all
relationships
Our relationships with other people must foster “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness and self-control.” As our relationships express these workings of the Holy Spirit, we will speak to the power of God’s grace in the world. As we demonstrate this fruit, we will demonstrate the uniqueness of the power that lives in us.
SERVING through the Gifts of the Spirit
The Holy Spirit has given every believer a gift, a special ability, for each one to use in service to God. Each believer is a part of the ministry of the church. It is through the discovery and use of these gifts that we administer God’s grace for the common good of the body.
TELLING our Grace Stories
Every believer’s life is a story of Grace. The message of the gospel is a daily outpouring of grace onto his people. We are his instrument to tell the story. Whatever God is going to do in Delaware County, Ball State and the ends of the earth, he is going to do it through the story of our lives. His story is our story.
STEWARDING our Lives
God has given each of us time, talents and treasures in our life that we are to use for the expansion of God’s Kingdom. We desire to use all that God has entrusted us with, our whole life, to fully cooperate with God in growing his kingdom.
As each of us lives our lives within our spheres of influence (family, church, work, school, neighborhood), these 5 little words will set the course for all we do. These 5 little words will evaluate our successfulness as a body of Christ.
